It certainly doesn’t feel like 7 1/2 years ago when I was expecting my first baby. What an amazing time that was. My first pregnancy was the only one I could find myself laying around, daydreaming of what it was like to be a mom. Dreaming of the little person I was about to meet. Dreaming about how my life was going to forever change.

You will still get the chance to daydream when you are expecting your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th child…but you just do it in shorter spurts;) As much as you want to meet this new little one, I can say with much certainty, you will miss this time soon. Congratulations N family. I can’t wait to meet her.

Last month, I had the incredible privilege of working with the sweetest Momprenuer you could ever meet (aside from me of course!). Casi Densmore-Koon is the heart and soul behind Cupcake Mag, the premier blog for fashion, hip products, celebrity interviews and more. The first time I checked out her site, I found myself easily browsing for an hour!! There is so much to check out! She has an incredible eye, and amazing connections which help create her fun interviews.

Casi and I met for a photo session of her little girl Sadie, and I am happy to say, I have made a new friend. We are like kindred soul. It was nice to find someone who could relate to a life of full time motherhood and being an entrepreneur. It’s not an easy task by any means! Casi has four little girls like myself;) I am beyond excited to work on new projects with Casi. More fun stuff to come this year!

While browsing her blog yesterday morning, I stumbled across a new post on Tori Spelling’s blog ediTORIal, and low and behold, there’s Casi!! Check out her beautiful headshot, courtesy of you know who. And if you scroll on down, you can see sweet Sadie from last December. Pretty sweet!

Here’s a few favorites from my session with her youngest daughter, Sadie. I hope to see her other girlies this year!

Monty is one of my baby planners, and I must say, I am SO lucky to have such an awesome family to work with multiple times throughout the year! Such creative and inspiring people. Monty’s newborn session was as fun as his 6 month session. We had fun incorporating bits of his personal life into the images. I am looking forward to see this little fella grow.

One of my favorite things during a session(aside from the obvious!), is chatting with the parents. It’s even more enjoyable when you have things in common:) I adore this family, possibly because they remind me so much of my own. Well, aside from that baby boy thing!

I photographed Chase’s older sister Samantha barely two years ago. It’s amazing to see families grow from my perspective. Chase looks so much like Samantha!

We all have regrets in life. The only thing we can do with our regrets is move forward and learn. Take our lessons and pass them down to our children.

One of my biggest regrets was losing touch with some very important people in my life when I hit adulthood. My childhood best friends…I had quite a few! The sleepovers, endless laughter in the classroom(not always good!), the bonds, and the memories. I will never forget the impact these ladies had on my childhood…ladies, you know who you are. So now why the regret? Well, I let these ladies slip through the cracks and went about my own life. It happens I suppose. I just wish I didn’t let 12+ years go by before we reconnected. That is one of the miracles of modern day technology and FACEBOOK! Our wonderful Facebook has the super power of reconnecting old friends.

In 2009, Facebook had reconnected me with one of my best friends. I have followed April’s journey to conceive since that moment, and knew I just had to photograph her blessing when it was time. Her time came this November, and baby girl was well worth the wait. No better way to reconnect with your childhood friend, then to photograph her precious newborn. It was so fun catching up with my old friends during such an amazing time for them. I can’t WAIT to do it all over this March when my other friend delivers her baby girl.

Could it be…. we are almost at the end of 2011? Where did the year go?? I must say, I have met so many new and amazing families this year. I am blessed to have such a beautiful client base. Thank you all for your patience this fall while we got through this incredibly busy holiday season. It has been non-stop around here since August! You all have been wonderful and I can easily say, I would not be here without you all. Thank you:)

I am preparing this lovely family’s order tonight, and made a quick web collage of a few favorites. As the next two weeks slow down here, I plan on catching the blog up with images from this season.

On a side note…January-March are already booking up with newborns. If you are expecting and considering newborn photos, now is the time to get on the calendar.

I am so blessed to have such amazing clients. I adore many of my families, and this one…let’s just say they rate right up there. ADORABLE mom and dad, with the kind of connection we all dream of. And as for their little guy, well……I can only hope they keep having babies and bringing them to me;) Not only was JR incredible for his newborn session(still one of my fav sessions to date), but he blew me away for his 9 month session. Dad told me he was a happy baby all the time, but I have to say… I was a bit skeptical. He was right. Jr is easily the happiest little guy I have met in a long time. At the end of our session, mom handed him a little blankie, and off to dreamland he went.

I am so beyond excited to meet his little sister this winter!! Only a few short months away:)
